Dungeon
Category: GeneralAuthor: Domino
The dungeon, located down from Ryleigh, consists of a series of small areas
that players must progress through linearly, getting harder as they go. This
adventure, for the time being, begins close to if not after a character has
reached mastery due to the difficulty of the current mobs. Future sections are
planned to include lower levels, but are not as of this time open for
exploration.
The room design and thus combat is a bit different than areas in the rest of
the mud. A tile system is used, incorporating terrain types and an X/Y grid
layout. Attacks may or may not move you around the map, more noticeably than
typical. Instead of moving one room in a particular direction, you might jump
six tiles forward to reach your target. While all mobs are aggressive, you are
able to sometimes outrun them because of this feature.
While you make your way around the dungeon keep your eyes pealed for a few
special things. Some of these include but are not limited to:
* shopkeepers
* nexus points (help nexus)
* chests
and so on.
But what is the point of the dungeon? Harder mobs to test yourself against for
one, but more importantly... The dungeon is how you collect recipes and
components to build the newer set of relics. Said relics are tiered, with the
first tier being slightly less useful as the old set of relics, and leading up
to the top tier being a good deal better.
